Driveways & approaches
New pours and full replacements, sized and reinforced for real vehicle loads instead of the minimum that passes.

Prates Construction pours driveways, slabs, patios and commercial flatwork across Greater Orlando. Base prep, steel, and joints cut on time — the three things that decide whether concrete cracks.
Residential and commercial flatwork, from a single walkway to a full building pad. Tear-out and haul-away included when there's old concrete in the way.

New pours and full replacements, sized and reinforced for real vehicle loads instead of the minimum that passes.

Building pads, monolithic slabs, shed and garage floors, equipment pads. Formed, graded and poured to spec.

Outdoor living surfaces with the finish you pick and the slope you need, so water runs away from the house.

Residential paths and code-compliant public sidewalks, including ADA ramps and detectable warning panels.

Warehouse floors, parking areas, dumpster pads and loading aprons. We work around your operating hours.

Structural footers, curbing, retaining walls and poured steps — the parts that hold everything else up.

Stamped patterns, integral color and exposed aggregate when the surface is meant to be looked at, not just walked on.

Cracked, sunken or spalling concrete cut out, hauled off, and replaced with a properly prepared base underneath.
The finish decides how the surface looks, how it grips underfoot, and how hot it gets in July. Tap through and see what each one actually looks like.

Almost every failed slab in Florida comes down to the same short list: a base that wasn't compacted, steel that wasn't there, or joints that were cut too late. None of it is visible once the pour is finished — which is exactly why it gets skipped. Planning it properly is the whole job.
Loose sand settles. We grade and compact before anything is formed, and we don't pour over soft spots.
An even base thickness under the whole slab. Uneven support is what breaks concrete in half.
Reinforcement lifted into the middle of the slab, not lying in the dirt where it does nothing.
A driveway carrying trucks is not the same mix as a garden path. We spec it for what will actually drive on it.
Concrete will crack. Control joints decide where. Cut too late and it picks its own line.
Florida sun pulls water out of a fresh slab fast. Curing is the cheapest strength you can buy.
You'll know the price and the schedule before we form anything. Most residential jobs are finished inside a week, weather permitting.
We measure, look at drainage and access, and quote a fixed price in writing. No charge and no pressure.
Lines snapped, elevations set, forms built to the grade that carries water where it should go.
Subgrade compacted, base spread to uniform depth, reinforcement tied and chaired. Inspection here if the permit calls for one.
Placed, screeded, floated and finished the way you chose. Early start so the crew isn't finishing in the afternoon heat.
Control joints cut on schedule, curing protected, forms pulled, site left clean. We tell you exactly when you can walk and drive on it.
